Academic Affairs Representative on the Advisory Committee for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

My proposal is this:
That the Associate Provost for Facutly Affairs, or his/her representative, sit ex officio on the Advisory Committee for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
[Currently, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, Michael Licari, is the Academic Affairs' representative on this committee. Since the Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning reports to the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs (Nancy Lippens), it would be appropriate and desirable for the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs to sit ex officio on the Advisory Committee for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
In addition, specifying that the Academic Affairs representative on the committee should be the "Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs or his/her representative" will avoid the necessity of petitioning the Faculty Senate for a personnel change, should there be a different person in the position of Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs.]

Therefore, be it resolved that the Associate Provost for Facutly Affairs, or his/her representative, sit ex officio on the Advisory Committee for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
