The Library Faculty were notified via e-mail on Monday, November 7th that a petition had been submitted to the University of Northern Iowa Faculty Senate asking the Senate to create a new library advisory committee to advise the library and file an annual report. The Library Faculty and the Library Faculty Senate have not had adequate time to review and respond to the petition that was submitted. We would like to petition the University of Northern Iowa Faculty Senate for an opportunity to respond to the proposal and supporting documentation submitted by Professor Martha Reineke. Be it resolved that the Library Faculty have the opportunity to address the concerns raised in the petition before the University Faculty Senate moves forward with any motions related to the petition submitted by Professor Martha Reineke.
