REQUEST TO AWARD AN HONORARY DOCTOR of Humane Letters AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA. Name of recipient to be disclosed only in Executive Session.
Be it resolve that the Faculty Senate will consider approval of the request by the University of Northern Iowa to award an honorary Doctor of Literature Degree (Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters), for Spring 2018 Commencement.
This will be discussed in Executive Session at the next Senate meeting, Feb 26th. The name of the Honorary Doctorate candidate is not being published here, for reasons of confidentiality, but will be revealed during Executive Session.
Paper copies of supporting materials will be distributed during Executive Session.
A motion to provide a recommendation to the President will be voted on in Regular Session, following Executive Session.
