Policy 13.13 Policy on Research Misconduct (approved by the Senate 11/30/2009), requires that any faculty member accused of research misconduct be investigated by a committee that includes faculty members whose names will have been "sought periodically from the Faculty Senate." (Detailed procedures can be found at http://www.uni.edu/osp/sites/default/files/Research%20Misconduct%20Proc…).Because this pool has not been properly constituted, Chair Peters asked the college senates to submit names of faculty members to serve on the Faculty Academic Misconduct Panel.

Therefore, be it resolved that the Senate approve a pool of people to constitute a Faculty Academic Misconduct Panel who can be drawn from in the event of allegations of scholarly misconduct.
