During the fall semester of 1976, the faculty senate took up the issue of conducting evaluations of upper level administrators. It developed a process that has been in place since then which involves evaluating the performance of administrators every five years.(see attached)
During the 2012-13 academic year, there was some discussion in the faculty senate about revisiting the evaluation procedures currently in place. Because the 2013-14 academic year is the fifth year for our current provost, under the existing procedures, it is time to initiate the review process.
Therefore, after having reviewed the administrator review procedures established in 1976, be it resolved that the Faculty Senate renews its approval for those procedures and instucts the Faculty Chair to continue to direct that process as originally designed.
