Resolution in support of Chapter 20

Whereas the status of the rights and freedoms for individuals working in the public sector to engage in collective bargaining under chapter 20 of the Iowa code is currently in question.Whereas the faculty of UNI have chosen to exercise their rights to engage in collective bargaining.Whereas the attached statement from the Chair of the Faculty affirms support for continuing the rights for individuals working in the public sector to engage in collective bargaining and opposes elimination or reducing the rights currently outlined in Chapter 20 of the Iowa code. 

CETL Committee Member Description Change

Background and Context for the RequestThe Advisory Committee for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is composed of one representative from CBA, COE, CSBS, and Rod Library, and two representatives from CHAS.  The Faculty Senate also appoints a member of the committee each year. The Associate Provost for Faculty and the CETL Director, who chairs the committee, are ex officio members. The make-up of the committee ensures that faculty from each college and the Rod Library are involved in CETL governance, support and planning.
