Whereas the assignment of course grades to students is a key responsibility and prerogative of the course instructor, there are nonetheless certain extraordinary circumstances in which parties other than the instructor of record may be empowered to record or change student grades for a course. This policy articulates how grades are to be assigned and changed at the University of Northern Iowa.
Action:
Therefore, be it resolved that the Senate has approved this policy on the assignment and changing of grades.
