Last Name:

Facts:

Policy 0.00 calls for 3 faculty representatives on the University Policy Review Committee, consisting of the United Faculty President, the Chair of the Faculty Senate, and a third member to be jointly determined by those two faculty leaders.  This proposed change specifies that the 3 faculty representatives on the University Policy Review Committee will be the Chair of the Faculty, United Faculty President, and the Chair of the Faculty Senate, or their designees.  This change will parallel the joint faculty leaders specified in the preamble to the Faculty Handbook, and specifies the roles to be included annually, so that the UF President and Senate Chair need not choose a third member each year.  This afternoon, at a regular meeting of the Educational Policies Commission, the proposed language was unanimously approved.  The approved language is included in the attached document.

Action:

Therefore, be it resolved that the University Faculty Senate has approved the revision to Policy 0.00 proposed by the Educational Policies Commission.
