Whereas the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences has submitted a package of curriculum proposals for Catalog Year 2016-2017, all of which are recorded on UNI Curriculum Online (Leapfrog); and whereas all of these proposals have been reviewed either by the University Curriculum Committee or by the Graduate College Curriculum Committee and the Graduate Council;

Action: 

Therefore, be it resolved that the Senate has reviewed these proposals and has, with any exceptions noted herein, approved them.

Whereas the LAC, COE, CBA, and CSBS have submitted curriculum proposals for new programs/majors for the catalog year 2016-17 and whereas all of these proposals have been reviewed either by the University Curriculum Committee or by the Graduate College Curriculum Committee and the Graduate Council; and whereas curriculum proposals for new majors need external approvals from other bodies including the Higher Learning Commission and the Iowa Coordinating Council on Post-High School Education (ICCPHSE) prior to being sent to the Iowa Regents Universities Council of Provosts on October 21, 2015, and thus if these proposals are not discussed at the Sept 14 Faculty Senate meeting, they will not be able to meet other deadlines required for inclusion in the 2016-17 catalog cycle.

Action: 

Therefore, it be resolved that the Senate move these proposals to the head of the docket so they can be discussed at the September 14th meeting and it be resolved that the Senate has reviewed these proposals and has, with any exceptions noted herein, approved them.
